Holy Father,
You are just, and yet rich in mercy and abounding in grace. You so loved the world that You gave Your only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. Just as You promised, You sent a Deliverer to crush the head of the ancient serpent. You sent Your One and Only Son to redeem Your people from sin and death. Profoundly astounding, You allowed Your Son Who knew no sin to become sin, to be condemned and led away to death because we had sinned and incurred the penalty of death and were justly condemned by the Law, which You upheld and Jesus fulfilled. Jesus was led away as a condemned criminal because we were condemned criminals. Jesus, the Son of God and Son of Man, King of kings and Lord of lords, surrendered to Your will and submitted Himself to the disgrace of a condemned criminal, to bear Your just wrath against the sin that we ourselves committed.

You sent Your Son to die in our place. And by His wounds, we are healed. Whomever the Son sets free is free indeed. All who call on His Name will be saved. Glory to You through Jesus for so great a salvation. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen.
