John 20:28
Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!” 29
Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen Me, have you
believed? Blessed
are they who did not see, and yet
believed.”
How does Thomas respond when Jesus appears and says to
him, “Reach here with your finger, and see My hands; and reach here your hand
and put it into my side; and do not be unbelieving, but believing” (John
20:27)?
“Thomas answered and said to
Him, ‘My Lord and my God!’” (John 20:28).
What does Jesus ask Thomas?
“Jesus said to him, ‘Because
you have seen Me, have you believed?’…” (John 20:29).
Who does Jesus say are blessed?
“... Blessed are they who did
not see, and yet believed” (John 2:29).
- In his address “to those who reside as aliens, scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, who are chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, by the sanctifying work of the Spirit, to obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with His blood” (1 Peter 1:1-2a) how does Peter describe their relationship to Jesus Christ?
o 1Pet. 1:8 and though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him
now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of
glory
Father,
In the beginning was the
Word, and the Word was with You, and the Word was You. He was in the beginning
with You. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing
came into being that has come into being. In Him was life, and the life was the
Light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not
comprehend it.
The Word is the true Light,
which, coming into the world, enlightens every man. He was in the world, and
the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His
own, and those who were His own did not receive Him. But as many as received
Him, to them He gave the right to become Your children, even to those who
believe in His name, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh
nor of the will of man, but of You.
And the Word became flesh…
Our Lord and our God.
In Jesus Name,
Amen.
