Rev. 8:13 Then I looked, and I heard an eagle flying in
midheaven, saying with a loud voice, “Woe, woe, woe to those who dwell on the
earth, because of the remaining blasts of the trumpet of the three angels who
are about to sound!”
Prayer and Bible Expo |
After John looked, what does he hear?
“. . . an eagle flying in
midheaven, saying with a loud voice, ‘Woe, woe, woe to those who dwell on the
earth, because of the remaining blasts of the trumpet of the three angels who
are about to sound!’”
Where is the eagle flying?
midheaven
How many times does the eagle say “woe”?
3
To whom are the woes
spoken?
to those who dwell on the
earth
Why are the three woes spoken to those who dwell on the earth?
because of the remaining
blasts of the trumpet of the three angels who are about to sound
How many angels are about to sound the remaining blasts of the
trumpet?

What impresses you about the announcement of the three woes?
God announces the woes
before they take place on earth so that humanity knows that the judgments are
from God and not natural phenomenons.
What do you learn about God from Rev 8:13?
God’s wrath will be poured
out upon the earth at the end of the age.
How could this truth transform your life?
Warn others to take refuge
in Jesus Christ as the day of the Lord draws near,
Lord of hosts,
May Your Word of warning go
out in power. May ears be opened to hear of the future woes that will come upon
the earth at the end of this age. May hearts be convicted of their need to seek
refuge in Jesus before the great and terrible day of the Lord arrives like a
thief in the night. May those who read
give heed and reach out to others who need to hear of the Person and work of
Jesus the Messiah, Son of God and Son of Man, Savior of the world and Lord over
all, Lamb of God, Who came to take away the sins of the world, and Lion of
Judah Who is coming, Lord of lords and King of kings. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
