Our Message שְׁמֻעָתֵ֑נוּ (shǝmu⁽ātēnū)

Arm of the LORD וּזְר֥וֹעַ יְהוָ֖ה (wūzrōa⁽ YHWH)

“Who has believed 

our message? 

And to whom has 

the arm of the LORD 

been revealed?“  

(Isa. 53:1). 

מִ֥י הֶאֱמִ֖ין לִשְׁמֻעָתֵ֑נוּ וּזְר֥וֹעַ יְהוָ֖ה עַל־מִ֥י נִגְלָֽתָה׃

“But though He had performed so many signs before them, yet they were not believing in Him.  This was to fulfill the word of Isaiah the prophet which he spoke: ‘LORD, WHO HAS BELIEVED OUR REPORT? AND TO WHOM HAS THE ARM OF THE LORD BEEN REVEALED?’” 

(John 12:37-38).

“How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?  How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, ‘HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THOSE WHO BRING GOOD NEWS OF GOOD THINGS!’  However, they did not all heed the good news; for Isaiah says, ‘LORD, WHO HAS BELIEVED OUR REPORT?’ So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ” (Rom. 10:14-17).

(John 12:37 (MHNT‏ אַף כִּי עָשָׂה אוֹתוֹת רַבִּים לְנֶגֶד עֵינֵיהֶם, לֹא הֶאֱמִינוּ בּוֹ.  ‎38‏ וְזֹאת לְקַיֵּם אֶת דְּבַר יְשַׁעְיָהוּ הַנָּבִיא: ”יהוה, מִי הֶאֱמִין לִשְׁמֻעָתֵנוּ וּזְרוֹעַ יהוה עַל־מִי נִגְלָתָה?“

‎Rom. 10:14‏ אַךְ כֵּיצַד יִקְרְאוּ אֶל מִי שֶׁלֹּא הֶאֱמִינוּ בּוֹ? וְכֵיצַד יַאֲמִינוּ בָּזֶה אֲשֶׁר לֹא שָׁמְעוּ אוֹתוֹ? וְכֵיצַד יִשְׁמְעוּ בְּאֵין מְבַשֵׂר?  ‎15‏ כֵּיצַד יְבַשְׂרוּ אִם לֹא יִשָּׁלְחוּ? הֵן כָּתוּב: ”מַה־נָּאווּ רַגְלֵי מְבַשְׂרֵי טוֹב!“  ‎16‏ אֲבָל לֹא הַכֹּל צִיְּתוּ לַבְּשׂוֹרָה, שֶׁכֵּן יְשַׁעְיָהוּ אוֹמֵר: ”אֲדֹנָי, מִי הֶאֱמִין לִשְׁמֻעָתֵנוּ?“  ‎17‏ לְפִיכָךְ הָאֱמוּנָה בָּאָה בִּשְׁמִיעָה וְהַשְּׁמִיעָה — בְּהַכְרָזַת דְּבַר הַמָּשִׁיחַ.
