Daniel 7:13-14 (6th c. BC)
Son of Man
בַ֥ר אֱנָ֖שׁ (bar ⁾enāsh)
“I kept looking in the night visions,
and behold,
with the clouds of heaven
One like a Son of Man was coming,
and He came up to the Ancient of Days
and was presented before Him.
And to Him was given
dominion, glory and a kingdom,
that all the peoples, nations
and men of every language
might serve Him.
His dominion is an everlasting dominion
which will not pass away;
and His kingdom is one
which will not be destroyed”
(Dan. 7:13-14).
חָזֵ֤ה הֲוֵית֙ בְּחֶזְוֵ֣י לֵֽילְיָ֔א וַאֲרוּ֙ עִם־עֲנָנֵ֣י שְׁמַיָּ֔א כְּבַ֥ר אֱנָ֖שׁ אָתֵ֣ה הֲוָ֑ה וְעַד־עַתִּ֤יק יֽוֹמַיָּא֙ מְטָ֔ה וּקְדָמ֖וֹהִי הַקְרְבֽוּהִי׃ וְלֵ֨הּ יְהִ֤יב שָׁלְטָן֙ וִיקָ֣ר וּמַלְכ֔וּ וְכֹ֣ל עַֽמְמַיָּ֗א אֻמַיָּ֛א וְלִשָּׁנַיָּ֖א לֵ֣הּ יִפְלְח֑וּן שָׁלְטָנֵ֞הּ שָׁלְטָ֤ן עָלַם֙ דִּֽי־לָ֣א יֶעְדֵּ֔ה וּמַלְכוּתֵ֖הּ דִּי־לָ֥א תִתְחַבַּֽל׃ פ
“And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the SON OF MAN COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF THE SKY with power and great glory” (Matt. 24:30).
“Jesus said to him, ‘You have said it yourself; nevertheless I tell you, hereafter you will see THE SON OF MAN SITTING AT THE RIGHT HAND OF POWER, and COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF HEAVEN’” (Matt. 26:64).
“Then they will see THE SON OF MAN COMING IN CLOUDS with great power and glory” (Mark 13:26).
“And Jesus said, ‘I am; and you shall see THE SON OF MAN SITTING AT THE RIGHT HAND OF POWER, and COMING WITH THE CLOUDS OF HEAVEN’” (Mark 14:62).
“And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and His kingdom will have no end” (Luke 1:33).
“Then they will see THE SON OF MAN COMING IN A CLOUD with power and great glory” (Luke 21:27).
“The Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hand” (John 3:35).
“For HE HAS PUT ALL THINGS IN SUBJECTION UNDER HIS FEET. But when He says, ‘All things are put in subjection,’ it is evident that He is excepted who put all things in subjection to Him” (1Cor. 15:27).
“Which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church” (Eph. 1:20-22).
“For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” (Phil. 2:9-11).
“And He has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father — to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. BEHOLD, HE IS COMING WITH THE CLOUDS, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him. So it is to be. Amen” (Rev. 1:6-7).
“And in the middle of the lampstands I saw one like a son of man, clothed in a robe reaching to the feet, and girded across His chest with a golden sash” (Rev. 1:13).
“Then the seventh angel sounded; and there were loud voices in heaven, saying,
‘The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ; and He will reign forever and ever’” (Rev. 11:15).
“Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and sitting on the cloud was one like a son of man, having a golden crown on His head and a sharp sickle in His hand” (Rev. 14:14).
(Matt. 24:30 (MHNT אָז יֵרָאֶה אוֹת בֶּן־הָאָדָם בַּשָּׁמַיִם וְאָז יִסְפְּדוּ כָּל מִשְׁפְּחוֹת הָאָרֶץ וְיִרְאוּ אֶת בֶּן־הָאָדָם בָּא עִם עַנְנֵי הַשָּׁמַיִם בִּגְבוּרָה וּבְכָבוֹד רַב.
Matt. 26:64 הֵשִׁיב לוֹ יֵשׁוּעַ: ”אַתָּה אָמַרְתָּ, אַךְ אוֹמֵר אֲנִי לָכֶם, מֵעַתָּה תִּרְאוּ אֶת בֶּן־הָאָדָם יוֹשֵׁב לִימִין הַגְּבוּרָה וּבָא עִם עַנְנֵי הַשָּׁמַיִם.“
Mark 13:26 אָז יִרְאוּ אֶת בֶּן־הָאָדָם בָּא בַּעֲנָנִים בִּגְבוּרָה רַבָּה וּבְכָבוֹד.
Mark 14:62 אָמַר יֵשׁוּעַ: ”אֲנִי הוּא. וְאַתֶּם תִּרְאוּ אֶת בֶּן־הָאָדָם יוֹשֵׁב לִימִין הַגְּבוּרָה וּבָא עִם עַנְנֵי הַשָּׁמַיִם.“
Luke 1:33 וְיִמְלֹךְ עַל בֵּית יַעֲקֹב לְעוֹלָם וְאֵין קֵץ לְמַלְכוּתוֹ.“
Luke 21:27 אָז יִרְאוּ אֶת בֶּן־הָאָדָם בָּא בֶּעָנָן בִּגְבוּרָה וּבְכָבוֹד רַב.
John 3:35 הָאָב אוֹהֵב אֶת בְּנוֹ וְאֶת הַכֹּל נָתַן בְּיָדוֹ.
1Cor. 15:27 שֶׁכֵּן הָאֱלֹהִים שָׁת הַכֹּל תַּחַת רַגְלָיו. וּבְאָמְרוֹ שֶׁהַכֹּל הוּשַׁת תַּחְתָּיו, בָּרוּר כִּי הַשָּׁת אֶת הַכֹּל תַּחְתָּיו אֵינֶנּוּ בַּכְּלָל הַזֶּה.
Eph. 1:20 אֲשֶׁר פָּעַל בַּמָּשִׁיחַ בַּהֲקִימוֹ אוֹתוֹ מִבֵּין הַמֵּתִים וּבְהוֹשִׁיבוֹ אוֹתוֹ לִימִינוֹ בַּשָּׁמַיִם, 21 מֵעַל לְכָל מֶמְשָׁלָה וְשִׁלְטוֹן, גְּבוּרָה וּמִשְׂרָה, וְכָל שֵׁם נִקְרָא — לֹא בָּעוֹלָם הַזֶּה בִּלְבַד, אֶלָּא גַּם בָּעוֹלָם הַבָּא. 22 וְאֶת הַכֹּל שָׁת תַּחַת רַגְלָיו וְנָתַן אוֹתוֹ לַקְּהִלָּה לְרֹאשׁ עַל כֹּל;
Phil. 2:9 עַל כֵּן הִגְבִּיהוֹ אֱלֹהִים מְאֹד וְנָתַן לוֹ אֶת הַשֵּׁם הַנַּעֲלֶה עַל כָּל שֵׁם, 10 לְמַעַן תִּכְרַע בְּשֵׁם יֵשׁוּעַ כָּל בֶּרֶךְ, בַּשָּׁמַיִם וּבָאָרֶץ וּמִתַּחַת לָאָרֶץ, 11 וְכָל לָשׁוֹן תּוֹדֶה כִּי יֵשׁוּעַ הַמָּשִׁיחַ הוּא הָאָדוֹן, לְתִפְאֶרֶת אֱלֹהִים הָאָב.
Rev. 1:6 וְעָשָׂה אוֹתָנוּ מַמְלֶכֶת כֹּהֲנִים לֵאלֹהִים אָבִיו, לוֹ הַכָּבוֹד וְהַגְּבוּרָה לְעוֹלְמֵי עוֹלָמִים. אָמֵן. 7 הִנֵּה הוּא בָּא עִם הָעֲנָנִים. כָּל עַיִן תִּרְאֶה אוֹתוֹ, גַּם אֵלֶּה שֶׁדְּקָרוּהוּ, וְיִסְפְּדוּ עָלָיו כָּל מִשְׁפְּחוֹת הָאָרֶץ. כֵּן; אָמֵן.
Rev. 1:13 וּבֵין שֶׁבַע הַמְּנוֹרוֹת כְּמַרְאֵה בֶּן־אָדָם עוֹטֶה מְעִיל עַד מַרְגְּלוֹתָיו וְחָגוּר חֲגוֹרַת זָהָב עַל חֲזֵהוּ.
Rev. 11:15 הַמַּלְאָךְ הַשְּׁבִיעִי תָּקַע בַּשּׁוֹפָר וְקוֹלוֹת גְּדוֹלִים נִשְׁמְעוּ בַּשָּׁמַיִם — אוֹמְרִים: ”הָיְתָה מַמְלֶכֶת תֵּבֵל לְמַמְלַכְתּוֹ שֶׁל אֲדוֹנֵנוּ וְשֶׁל מְשִׁיחוֹ וְהוּא יִמְלֹךְ לְעוֹלְמֵי עוֹלָמִים.“
Rev. 14:14 רָאִיתִי וְהִנֵּה עָנָן לָבָן וְעַל הֶעָנָן יוֹשֵׁב כִּדְמוּת בֶּן אָדָם; עֲטֶרֶת זָהָב עַל רֹאשׁוֹ וּמַגָּל חַד בְּיָדוֹ.
