“From them will come 

the cornerstone, 

from them 

the tent peg, 

from them 

the bow of battle, 

from them 

every ruler, 

all of them together” 

(Zech. 10:4).

מִמֶּ֤נּוּ פִנָּה֙ מִמֶּ֣נּוּ יָתֵ֔ד מִמֶּ֖נּוּ קֶ֣שֶׁת מִלְחָמָ֑ה מִמֶּ֛נּוּ יֵצֵ֥א כָל־נוֹגֵ֖שׂ יַחְדָּֽו׃

“The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief corner stone. This is the LORD’S doing; it is marvelous in our eyes” (Psa. 118:22-23).

“Then I will set the key of the house of David on his shoulder, when he opens no one will shut, when he shuts no one will open. I will drive him like a peg in a firm place, and he will become a throne of glory to his father’s house” (Isa. 22:22-23).

“He says, ‘You are My war-club, My weapon of war; and with you I shatter nations, and with you I destroy kingdoms’” (Jer. 51:20).

“I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim and the horse from Jerusalem; and the bow of war will be cut off. And He will speak peace to the nations; and His dominion will be from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth” (Zech. 9:10).

“But Jesus looked at them and said, ‘What then is this that is written: “THE STONE WHICH THE BUILDERS REJECTED, THIS BECAME THE CHIEF CORNER stone”? Everyone who falls on that stone will be broken to pieces; but on whomever it falls, it will scatter him like dust’” (Luke 20:17-18).

“And coming to Him as to a living stone which has been rejected by men, but is choice and precious in the sight of God, you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. For this is contained in Scripture: ‘BEHOLD, I LAY IN ZION A CHOICE STONE, A PRECIOUS CORNER stone, AND HE WHO BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED’” (1Pet. 2:4-6).

Jer. 51:20 מַפֵּץ־אַתָּ֣ה לִ֔י כְּלֵ֖י מִלְחָמָ֑ה וְנִפַּצְתִּ֤י בְךָ֙ גּוֹיִ֔ם וְהִשְׁחַתִּ֥י בְךָ֖ מַמְלָכֽוֹת׃

Zech. 9:10 וְהִכְרַתִּי־רֶ֣כֶב מֵאֶפְרַ֗יִם וְסוּס֙ מִיר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם וְנִכְרְתָה֙ קֶ֣שֶׁת מִלְחָמָ֔ה וְדִבֶּ֥ר שָׁל֖וֹם לַגּוֹיִ֑ם וּמָשְׁלוֹ֙ מִיָּ֣ם עַד־יָ֔ם וּמִנָּהָ֖ר עַד־אַפְסֵי־אָֽרֶץ׃

(Luke 20:17 (MHNT הוּא נָעַץ בָּהֶם מַבָּטוֹ וְאָמַר: ”וּמַהוּ הַכָּתוּב הַזֶּה, ’אֶבֶן מָאֲסוּ הַבּוֹנִים הָיְתָה לְרֹאשׁ פִּנָּה‘?

1Pet 2:4‏ אֲשֶׁר אַתֶּם נִגָּשִׁים אֵלָיו — אֶבֶן חַיָּה שֶׁמְּאָסוּהָ בְּנֵי אָדָם, אַךְ נִבְחָרָה וִיקָרָה לֵאלֹהִים.  ‎5‏ וְגַם אַתֶּם, כַּאֲבָנִים חַיּוֹת, נִבְנִים לְבַיִת רוּחָנִי, לִכְהֻנַּת קֹדֶשׁ, כְּדֵי לְהַעֲלוֹת זִבְחֵי רוּחַ רְצוּיִים לֵאלֹהִים בִּזְכוּת יֵשׁוּעַ הַמָּשִׁיחַ.  ‎6‏ מִשּׁוּם כָּךְ אוֹמֵר הַכָּתוּב: ”הִנְנִי יִסַּד בְּצִיּוֹן אֶבֶן פִּנָּה נִבְחָרָה וִיקָרָה, וְהַמַּאֲמִין בָּהּ לֹא יֵבוֹשׁ.“
