בָּר֣וּךְ

He Who Comes in the Name of the LORD

הַבָּא בְּשֵׁ֣ם יְהוָ֑ה

(habā⁾ bǝshēm YHWH)

“Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the LORD; We have blessed you from the house of the LORD” (Ps. 118:26).

בָּר֣וּךְ הַ֭בָּא בְּשֵׁ֣ם יְהוָ֑ה בֵּ֝רַֽכְנוּכֶ֗ם מִבֵּ֥ית יְהוָֽה׃

“Most of the crowd spread their coats in the road, and others were cutting branches from the trees and spreading them in the road. The crowds going ahead of Him, and those who followed, were shouting, 

‘Hosanna to the Son of David; 

BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD; 

Hosanna in the highest!’” 

(Matt. 21:8-9)

(Matt. 21:8 (MHNT רַבִּים מִן הֶהָמוֹן פָּרְשׂוּ אֶת בִּגְדֵיהֶם עַל הַדֶּרֶךְ וַאֲחֵרִים כָּרְתוּ עֲנָפִים מִן הָעֵצִים וְשָׁטְחוּ אוֹתָם עַל הַדֶּרֶךְ.  9 וַהֲמוֹן הָעָם שֶׁהָלְכוּ לְפָנָיו וְאַחֲרָיו קָרְאוּ: ”הוֹשַׁע־נָא לְבֶן־דָּוִד! בָּרוּךְ הַבָּא בְּשֵׁם יְהוָה! הוֹשַׁע־נָא בַּמְּרוֹמִים!“ 

“For I say to you, from now on you will not see Me until you say, ‘BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD!’” 

(Matt. 23:39)

Matt. 23:39 וַאֲנִי אוֹמֵר לָכֶם: מֵעַתָּה לֹא תִּרְאוּנִי עַד אֲשֶׁר תֹּאמְרוּ ’בָּרוּךְ הַבָּא בְּשֵׁם יְהוָה!“ 

“Those who went in front and those who followed were shouting: 

‘Hosanna! BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD’” 

(Mark 11:9)

Mark 11:9 וְהַהוֹלְכִים לְפָנָיו וְאַחֲרָיו קָרְאוּ:

”הוֹשַׁע־נָא! בָּרוּךְ הַבָּא בְּשֵׁם יהוה! 

“shouting: 

‘BLESSED IS THE KING WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD; 

Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!’” 

(Luke 19:38)

Luke 19:38 ”בָּרוּךְ הַבָּא בְּשֵׁם יהוה! שָׁלוֹם בַּשָּׁמַיִם וְכָבוֹד בַּמְּרוֹמִים!“ 

“took the branches of the palm trees and went out to meet Him, and began to shout, ‘Hosanna! BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD, even the King of Israel.’” 

(John 12:13)

John 12:13 לָקְחוּ כַּפּוֹת תְּמָרִים וְיָצְאוּ לִקְרָאתוֹ כְּשֶׁהֵם קוֹרְאִים: ”הוֹשַׁע נָא! בָּרוּךְ הַבָּא בְּשֵׁם יהוה! מֶלֶךְ יִשְׂרָאֵל!“
